It's Indonesia's first sand sculpture festival and the largest in Southeast Asia.
Two tents house the art works. In the first, visitors can view different Indonesian sculptures including the temples and praying Buddhist monks. The second tent takes visitors on a tour around the globe, from Egypt's famous Great Sphinx of Giza to London's Big Ben. A special tent is also used to teach school children the art of sand sculpture. All of them use a total of 2,400 tons of sand, taken from Cilegon in West Java.
The organizer says the festival has been created to support tourism in Indonesia.
